OUR TEAM TRIP TO SCHWIELOWSEE

On this year's team bike tour, we crossed the forests and fields of Brandenburg and explored the lake district around Potsdam. A total of 96 km, including stops for pizza and soft ice cream.
Around the Berlin lakes in 96 km
In fact, there was only one lake that we cycled around during this year’s bike tour. But it was in a particularly beautiful location, nestled between Potsdam, Caputh, and Ferch at its southern end: Lake Schwielow.
After exploring the north of Berlin on the Havel Cycle Route during our last team bike trip, this year we headed south: to Potsdam.
The stops on our team bike tour
We set off from Berlin-Westend. From there, it’s just a stone’s throw to the Grunewald: as we rode past Teufelsberg, we put our bikes’ MTB capabilities to the test on the sandy ground. To cut to the chase: they only passed the test partially. So we were soon back on paved paths along Lake Wannsee and past Peacock Island (yes, there are peacocks living in the wild there!) heading toward Potsdam. We continued through Babelsberg Park, the Dutch Quarter, and past Sanssouci Palace, spending lunch on pizza and pasta near Werder an der Havel.
Reaching Ferch on Lake Schwielowsee, we hit the southernmost point and thus the end of our tour shortly after. From there, we took the truly fantastic bike path along the lake back to Potsdam and finally Berlin. Oh, and the stop for soft-serve ice cream in Caputh was perhaps the highlight of the ride.

Team events at devsuit
After work, we head to the beach once a week during the summer. We play on Berlin’s largest beach volleyball court, at BeachMitte. When the weather isn’t beach-friendly, you’ll often find us at one of Berlin’s many escape rooms, working out together, or simply eating, drinking, and philosophizing about everything and everyone.
