Between lines of code, use cases and agent mode: our keynote speech at Escape Germany shows how AI is already changing the software development of tomorrow.
Artificial intelligence as a driving force for development teams
We recently had the opportunity to speak as guest speakers at our partner agency, Escape Germany—an exchange that not only inspired and encouraged us but was also truly fascinating in terms of content.
Although Escape primarily works with PHP and we are known for our Python expertise, we are still united by the same mindset: a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. We want to foster collaboration within the developer community and unlock new potential!
Our expertise
For over two years now, we at devsuit have been using AI technologies in the development of our projects. What began as an experiment, as is often the case, has quickly become an integral part of our daily work. As a forward-thinking app agency, this has been a logical and natural evolution for us.
Invitation to a change of perspective
Thanks to Escape’s invitation, we had the opportunity to share this wealth of experience and, at the same time, gain new insights through our discussions.
Theory & live demo: Hands-on: AI in everyday developer life
In the first part, we provided an overview of current tools, use cases, and developments in the AI landscape—including a critical look at platforms such as OpenAI, xAI, and Anthropic. We discussed not only productivity and efficiency gains, but also risks such as loss of control, maintainability, and regulatory requirements (keyword: AI Act).
In the practical session, things got concrete: We demonstrated how we use AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor AI productively—when writing tests, creating documentation, and refactoring entire codebases. Particularly exciting was the look into the so-called "Agent Mode," in which the AI independently executes several steps—including a live demo using a sample project (FastAPI + NuxtJS). The bottom line: AI isn’t replacing us—it’s lightening our load. And it’s changing the role of developers: away from pure code production, toward more design, integration, collaboration, and quality assessment.
What remains?
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Escape for the invitation and for placing their trust in us. The exchange was a real highlight for us—technically, personally, and strategically.
In the future, we would like to further expand our professional exchange—and we’d be happy to do so with other agencies interested in furthering their knowledge in the field of AI. If there’s one thing we take away from this presentation, it’s that even within different tech ecosystems, there can be a common denominator: a commitment to continuous development and a passion for innovation.
