devsuit is developing an interactive dashboard to visualize prices on the energy markets for the German Energy and Power Industry Association (VIK). For more transparency and faster information.

Pilot project: Visualization of energy price data for the VIK

Since September 26, 2024, members of the VIK (Association of Industrial Energy and Power Companies) have had access to a new tool that visually presents energy price data in dynamic charts. The pilot project lays the groundwork for the future digitization and visualization of price data for VIK members. Thanks to the use of standardized technologies, our development team was able to implement the project within a few weeks.

Interactive dashboards & customizable visualizations

devsuit is working closely with VIK to develop a user-friendly platform that enables members to analyze up-to-date energy price data and identify trends. Users can flexibly filter the data and compare different time periods, which helps them make informed decisions.

Technical implementation

We are using Nuxt.js as the front-end framework for the platform. It enables efficient and structured development of dashboards and data filters, while Apex Charts provides dynamic and customizable visualization of price data in various chart types. The combination of these technologies offers many pre-built features that we were able to tailor specifically to VIK’s requirements. This allowed us to complete the project in a very short time and keep costs low for the client.

Daily updated data

Customers can already import up-to-date energy price data directly into the backend, ensuring fast and flexible use of the platform. In the next phase following the pilot phase, an API connection is also planned, which will enable the direct retrieval of real-time data. This will allow VIK members to conduct their energy price analyses in real time and respond even more quickly to market changes.
